About WVYC

The regatta is being held in scenic West Vancouver, a 20-minute drive from downtown Vancouver. On the edge of the scenic Howe Sound, the West Vancouver Yacht Club is located in a naturally sheltered harbour with close proximity to restaurants, gas station, marine store, and a public 9 hole golf course. Just around the corner, the small community of Horseshoe Bay offers a variety of restaurants, pubs and a motel as well as BC Ferry service to and from Vancouver Island and the Sunshine Coast.

West Vancouver Yacht Club is well known for its great hospitality, convenient location, and excellent facilities. The Yacht Club has just over 600 active members and owns a number of outstations along the BC coast.

While you're here, take advantage of all that Vancouver has to offer to tourists; restaurants, shops, concerts and nightlife are all in full swing in neighborhoods such as Yaletown, Kitsilano and on Granville Island. Numerous outdoor activities such as mountain biking, hiking, camping and golf are all available locally or at the famous mountain resort of Whistler, only 1.5 hours drive from the yacht club.
